Georgian Tech Startup WeCharge Expands into the European Market
Georgian technology startup WeCharge is preparing to expand its operations and enter the European market by the end of this year. Active work on the expansion is already underway.
In an interview with Business Partner, WeCharge's Founder and CEO, Tatia Khabeishvili, said that WeCharge was the first company to create Georgia's largest power bank rental ecosystem and is now the market leader.
"The core idea behind our startup is to foster a culture of energy sharing through innovative technology, allowing a single power bank to be shared by multiple users. WeCharge offers a modern solution that gives people continuous access to portable charging wherever they are.
Using the WeCharge service takes just 10 seconds: through the mobile app, users can locate the nearest station, scan a QR code, and instantly rent a power bank. They can charge their phone while on the move and return the power bank to any WeCharge station," Khabeishvili explained.
According to her, WeCharge currently operates more than 700 charging stations across Georgia, located in Tbilisi, Mtskheta, Rustavi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Kobuleti, and Gori.
