Georgian Innovation Hub BRID.GE Officially Opens in San Francisco

On June 4, the official opening ceremony of Georgia’s innovation hub, BRID.GE, was held in San Francisco, according to information released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

Addressing guests at the event, Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, emphasized the significance of establishing a Georgian innovation hub in San Francisco, a city widely recognized as a global symbol of innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity.

“We are creating a new bridge that will connect ideas with opportunities and transform Georgia into a place where dreams are not limited by geography. The bridge we officially open today should become a powerful tool for connecting not only our countries and opportunities but also people,” Maka Botchorishvili stated.

The Foreign Minister also noted that, despite numerous challenges, Georgia has emerged as a symbol of economic growth, resilience, and new opportunities in the region.

“Today, Georgia is considered one of the most attractive countries in which to start a business, thanks to its simple regulatory environment and advanced digital public services. This creates real opportunities for both local and international investors,” she added.

Among the distinguished guests attending the event were Daniel Lurie, Mayor of San Francisco, and Saeed Amidi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the global startup accelerator Plug and Play.

BRID.GE is the first Georgian innovation hub established outside Georgia. The initiative is designed to provide Georgian startups and technology companies with new opportunities to enter international markets, collaborate with global partners, and gain direct access to international investors.

The launch of BRID.GE marks an important step in strengthening Georgia’s presence within the global innovation ecosystem and supporting the international growth of the country’s entrepreneurial and technology sectors.
