First Stage Winners Announced in Digital Transformation Grant Program
The initial phase winners of the grant program have been announced as part of an ongoing digital transformation project aimed at enhancing technological advancements across various sectors:
ACT: Automating transcript processes through artificial intelligence.
IBC Taxi: Developing an e-commerce platform for streamlined planning and delivery of apostille documents along with notary services.
Dansi: Digitizing the workspace of dental laboratories to optimize operations for technicians and management.
Blueberry: Creating an application that accurately records picker activities and automates weight logging.
Chirifruit: Digitizing data for effective analysis and implementing responsive measures.
The project encompasses several key initiatives:
R&D Grants for Digital Transformation: Aimed at small and medium enterprises, this component supports the creation of new solutions or the enhancement of existing ones through research and development grants. The total budget for this segment is EUR 100,000, distributed through competitive grant processes facilitated by the Agency with assistance from international experts.
Unified Platform for Georgian Startups: This platform showcases Georgia’s startup ecosystem and features innovative digital transformation solutions developed within the country. Additional activities include workshops for stakeholders and educational events for beneficiaries.
Professional Development: In collaboration with both local and international experts, this initiative focuses on advancing the digital transformation skills of agency employees, aligning with global trends.
The project is part of an agreement signed between the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of Georgia on December 12, 2022. It falls under the "Digital Transformation of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Eastern Partnership Countries" (DT4SME) initiative, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and executed by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
