BioChimPharm (BCP) Company Signs Investment Agreement with Innovation and Technology Agency

BioChimPharm (BCP) company, which has won the 2nd phase of the 650 000 GEL grant program of the Economy Ministry Agency for Innovations and Technology, has signed an agreement with the Innovation Agency. The company has won the grant competition through its project PowerPhage™ .

BioChimPharm (BCP) manufactures sustainable alternative to antibiotics, while PowerPhage™ is an innovative veterinary product to substitute antibiotics in beef production, poultry and cattle-breeding industries through safe and natural alternatives – phages.

The Innovation and Technology agency launched the 650 000 GEL grant program on May 22, 2019 with the financial support of World Bank (WB). Objective of the program is to stimulate an establishment of innovation companies and their involvement in the Georgian economy. Thanks to the program, Georgia-based micro, small and medium companies can develop their own innovations and introduce them to the global market, ensure poisoning of their innovative products on the global market. The program funds technological and business-process innovations that will be clearly associated with Georgia.
