Azerbaijani Co-Founder's Mobile Game Startup Passion Punch Secures $4M Investment

Passion Punch, a mobile game startup founded by Azerbaijani entrepreneur Vugar Hasani, has secured $4 million in a seed investment round led by Colendi Global.

The investment round was carried out in the amount of $39 million, with Turkcell YT GSYF, Re-Pie Portfolio and angel investors also participating. With its effective storytelling, the startup has reached more than 200 million players in just three years.

Hasani, the co-founder and CEO of Passion Punch, said that the blockchain technology has allowed them to reward gamers with a sense of ownership they seek from games. The startup plans to make a significant change in its business model, aiming to bring together the F2P and web3 worlds using its experience in the mobile game industry. The CEO of Colendi Global, Bülent Tekmen, expressed excitement in supporting gaming startups' transition to web3 and their vision for the future of mobile gaming.
