Astute's New Sportswear Collection Inspires Customers to Live Healthy Lifestyle

Astute is the High conceptual brand created by Georgian designers willing to make unique pieces of art for its customers, textile manipulations, natural and hand-dyed Italian fabrics. Astute offers a way to own a unique and comfortable piece of clothing at a reasonable price. Tata Aslanishvili, co-founder and creative director of the brand told CBW about their new collection:

What got you into designing and inspired you to create Astute?

From the very beginning of my childhood, I was interested in drawing and designing clothes by the time my designs were destined for barbies or myself. I studied in Tbilisi arts academy faculty of design and to upgrade my skills I studied Master degree in ESMOD Paris, when I came back from Paris my sister and I started the making of the brand.

What are some of the challenges of starting your brand?

Georgian fabric market is not rich, it’s hard for me and my sister to find the exact quality which we want to share with our customers. When launching the brand it was the first wave of covid-19 and it made more complications for us.

How did the public react to the appearance of your brand, and who is your target group?

In general, we got positive reactions however purchases are not the way we wanted, this could be an effect of the covid-19. Furthermore, we are going through different directions, recently we made sportswear collection to ease our customers their daily challenges and inspire them to live a healthy lifestyle.

Tell us about your team and get us through your working day.

Our team is just me and my sister for the moment, we are discussing ideas together, managing the social media, production, buying the material, photo shooting which is very time consuming, however we don’t see the need for any other people involving as of now.

How did the creative process evolve since you started the brand?

Our creative process is developing through our working process, we have many ideas however whatever is sold is the need of the customer and the market in the very present moment.

What advice would you give to designers looking to start a business?

Be accepting of the challenges, never give up and never stop developing.

Do you have new projects coming up?

recently we made a sportswear collection to ease our customers their daily challenges and inspire them to live a healthy lifestyle.
