Altersocks.fr - Georgian Sock Manufacturer Launched Online Store in France

Altersocks, a local sock manufacturer, has launched an online site, Altersocks.fr, to promote exports to France.

As the founder of the company Rezi Beselashvili told BM.GE, the website has been launched in France for several days. The decision was made by the company due to the situation created by the pandemic, as the activity in the export markets was delayed during this period.

"2019 was quite successful for the company in terms of exports, because we opened a branch in Belarus. Altersocks were also sold through Amazon. In terms of production, everything is in order and the quality of our socks is in line with EU standards, so we aimed to expand export markets in 2020, but the pandemic prevented us from doing so.

In search of a solution, our partner and I realized that opening physical stores would be difficult now, so we had to launch an online store. In general, the pandemic has greatly contributed to the rise of e-commerce. Therefore, we decided to export the brand in the form of e-commerce and open an Altersox website in France, ”said the company's founder.
