Natia Turnava Participates in Reykjavik International Economic Conference
The Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, Natia Turnava, is taking part in the Reykjavik International Economic Conference, an annual event organized by the Central Bank of Iceland in collaboration with the Center for International Macroeconomics at Northwestern University.
The conference brings together central bank leaders from around the world, including Andrew Bailey, Governor of the Bank of England; John Williams, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York; as well as top officials from the central banks of Iceland, Montenegro, Italy, China, Denmark, and the European Union.
This year’s two-day conference will focus on the evolving challenges of macroeconomic analysis and policymaking, along with the shifting role of central banks in today’s global environment.
The main objective of the conference is to reduce risks and foster economic stability and growth.
Throughout the sessions, participants will explore pressing macroeconomic policy issues and examine the geopolitical factors influencing international trade.
Natia Turnava is scheduled to join a panel discussion titled “Financial Stability and the Rate Cut Cycle,” where she will share insights on navigating monetary policy in a period of global uncertainty.
