Natia Turnava Meets with International Investors on the Sidelines of IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings
National Bank of Georgia Governor Natia Turnava and Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili, joined by other members of the Georgian delegation, convened with International investors on the sidelines of the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings.
Hosted by J.P. Morgan, the roundtable brought together roughly fifteen prominent investment firms-including Danske Bank, Morgan Stanley, Shiprock Capital Management, and Eaton Vance Corporation.
In her presentation, Governor Turnava highlighted the Georgian economy’s recent performance, emphasizing a stable macroeconomic backdrop and robust fundamentals that have enabled the country to weather external shocks.
“Our objective,” she explained, “is twofold: to illuminate Georgia’s compelling investment landscape for new prospects and to reaffirm our vision for existing partners, inspiring them to deepen their commitment to our market.” Drawing on the latest IMF report, Governor Turnava underscored Georgia’s status among the world’s fastest‑growing economies. “Strong GDP‑per‑capita growth, contained inflation, and overall high economic expansion together form an appealing proposition for potential investors,” she noted.
