Tbilisi International Theater Festival Begins

The 13th Tbilisi International Theater Festival, founded by the Tbilisi City Hall, opens today. The festival usually begins in September with a magnificent cascade of autumn cultural life and festivals, but this year, due to the complexity of the pandemic, it moved to November.

The festival will host two major events this year: a performance by James Thierree "Mo's Concert" and an artistic installation by Mikheil Baryshnikov with the film "Never Again".

Another important part of the festival is the educational direction, which includes workshops and master classes focused on modern technologies, the theme of which is the introduction and use of digital technologies in the performing arts.

Tbilisi International Theater Festival was established in 2009 with the support of Tbilisi City Hall and the Ministry of Culture. For 13 years, the festival has hosted more than 200 international companies.

Tbilisi International Theater Festival will close on December 10.
