Tbilisi History Museum Presents Exhibition - Absolute Error
The exhibition opening takes place in Tbilisi History Museum on October 15th till October 30th.
Artists who participate in the exhibition include Mamuka Japharidze, Niko Lomashvili, Mariam Natroshvili, Detu Jincharadze, Niko Tsetskhladze, Iliko Zautashvili.
Author of the idea and a curator is Magda Guruli.
"Absolute Error" is a term used in physics and mathematics to describe an error between an exact and an estimated number. This is a kind of inaccuracy in measurement, which is sometimes called absolute uncertainty.
"Absolute uncertainty has become extremely topical after the spread of the new coronavirus, when many aspects of COVID 19, ranging from treatment methods to the ways of dissemination are still unclear. There is an absolute error between the exact and probable methods of Covid’s cure.
According to the online sources “reflection means “turning back", a person's understanding of his/her own personality, values, interests, knowledge, emotions, motives of behavior, thinking about his own" I " and past events. This is "talking to yourself."
“Absolute Error", as the concept of an art project points to the creative expression of one’s feelings, thoughts, and possible new experiences while remaining in extreme conditions. In other words, the project seeks to the artist's creative reflection on an unusual situation.
Are extreme conditions always fruitful or interesting creatively? How can we deal with the new reality in case of changes in known to us sociopolitical, economic, or cultural systems?
“Absolute Error" as a subject of an art project is research on the conditions caused by insecurities and fears that emerge from the withdrawal of a person out of his/her usual social dynamics, a somewhat uncertain future, and loneliness. This is the situation when hitherto unknown and hidden aspects of life are manifested challenging the society as a whole and each one in it.", is written in the description of the event.
