Otar Chkhartishvili’s Exhibition - My Yard, The Four Seasons at Bugadze Gallery
Otar Chkhartishvili's work “Four Seasons of the Year, My Yard” is part of an experimental series of works that have been created over 18 years since the 1980s.
The series includes views of the yard from the window of his apartment in Rustavi, seen at any time of the day with the simplest genre scenes. The expressive format and range of hundreds of paintings depicting four seasons go from realistic abstract to fragmentary, and sometimes even to cellular.
Such a transformation of the same place is incredibly impressive and makes us think about the cycle of life. The concept of life is a key concept of culture.
As the artist Gia Bugadze notes, “Four seasons of the year, My Yard is an exhibition of Otar Chkhartishvili's soul where the variability of the yard view in different weather, seasons, and mood is not important, but the importance lies within the personal variability of the artist himself."
The exhibition will take place at Bugadze Gallery, from June 19th to July 9th.
