One Caucasus Festival Expects 2,000 Guests in Kvemo Kartli
This year, the One Caucasus international event will take place in Kvemo Kartli from August 25 to 29. 1,000 to 2,000 visitors from various nations are anticipated at the multicultural festival, and 20 musical bands and performers will perform for them. Like in previous years, admission to the festival is free.
One Caucasus, which is held annually in the village of Tserakvi, Marneuli municipality, will be dedicated to Ukraine in 2022.
"One Caucasus 2022 will be the release of Ukraine. We invite Ukrainian professionals, including artists, architects, trainers, and, of course, musicians. Some of them will be involved in educational and artistic projects, and the performers will be in the musical part of One Caucasus", said Irakli Mikiani, the founder of the "One Caucasus" organization.
The organizers explain that the scale of the "United Caucasus" festival is increasing every year and this year they will have a number of innovations in the field of music.
"It is in our interest that Tserakvi is the home of the festival and become more modern. Be the object of interest not only for us but also for other international projects, for it to be busier and revitalize the local environment, to create an economic and cultural center. This year we will have very good news in the music field, we will bring musicians, including from London and Warsaw", says Irakli Mikania.
The idea of possibly adding Kvemo Kartli Day to the festival is being considered. The organizers think that in this way all seven municipalities of the region will have the opportunity to introduce their municipality to the audience of One Caucasus from a cultural and tourist point of view.
For information, the founder of One Caucasus is the Polish foundation "Other Space" and the organization "One Caucasus" in Georgia. The festival is funded by the European Commission and the main supporter is the Europe Program of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission.
