Georgia to Host Selection Tournament of Bocuse d’Or in September

The local championship festival of Bocuse d’Or will take place in Georgia, on 12-13th of October 2019.

The selection tournament has already begun. Participants will be apportioned in the teams chosen by chef's and assistants. The winners of the selection tournament will go to Estonia since they will be part of 2020 Bocuse d’Or Europe Championship. According to the representative company of Bocuse d’Or and organizer of the project "Gastronavti", the rules provided by national selection tournament are nearly similar to the rules of European selection tournament. 

In January 1987, Paul Bocuse created the Bocuse d’Or, a revolutionary gastronomy contest. Replicating the codes of major sporting events, he imagined a true show placing the emphasis on cooking and on the chefs.

The idea, to bring together 24 young chefs and to give them a possibility to emulate with generation and profession, the world's prominent chiefs, which succeeded. Therefore, on the world's culinary scale, there is no other competition like Bocuse d'Or according to its range." noted restaurateur of Gastronaut and project manager Levan Qoqiashvili.
