Demonstration in Support of Ukraine in Tbilisi Today

The peaceful demonstration, called "Response to Putin" will be held in Tbilisi today, starting from 7:00 PM at Rose Revolution Square, organized by members of non-governmental organization Shecvale; oppositions - Girchi, Elene Khoshtaria, and United National Movement; anti-occupational civil movement - Shame Movement; and political organization Droa.

"Today, Ukraine follows the same path as Georgia did back in 2008. Putin's main goal was and currently is to rewrite history, try to convince the world that Russia is not the "evil empire" and that Russia does does not start a war, but the history shows otherwise.
The whole world emphasizes the fact that today Russia is taking such steps towards Ukraine as it has taken with Georgia. In his speech, Putin assured us that he wanted peace and did not occupy the territory of any state, but finally signed a decree recognizing the self-proclaimed "Donetsk People's Republic" (DPR) and the "Luhansk People's Republic" (LPR).

The population of Georgia has never adjusted to the occupation. Georgians have never backed down, and even today, we should not allow Putin to rewrite history. Today, we are given the opportunity to reaffirm our firm position that Russia is an aggressor and occupier.

We need flags, stickers and banners for the demonstration. If you are unable to attend the demonstration and you want to support us with financial assistance, you can make a donation only from the account of natural person and the beneficiary's name should include: "Donation", your name, and personal number. #GE97BG0000000523451804 "
