Working on Bakuriani Urban Renovation Project and Strategic Plan of Transport Mobility Commenced
The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) has concluded the Contract for development of Strategic Plan on Bakuriani Urban Renovation and Transport Mobility.
JV of EGIS International (France, Leader), Egis Villes & Transports (France, Member) and Engineering Monitoring Group LLC (Georgia, Sub-Consultant) has been identified as the Bidding winner company.
There will be developed Bakuriani urban renovation and transport plans within the project. Under consultation service there will be studied and elaborated comfortable transport movement/mobility plan towards all directions of the resort. In particular, there will be considered the projects for arrangement of public transport network, central transport hub and parking lots. In order attractive environment to be created for tourists, at further stage there will be developed the detailed designs for rehabilitation of inner roads, main streets and façades of the buildings (including the ones at Aghmashenebeli St.), as well as pedestrian and bike routes across the river, works for improving of adjacent sites and recreation zones are also envisaged. The construction works will be carried out based on developed designs.
The Contract on development of Strategic Plan for Bakuriani Urban Renovation and Transport Mobility was signed by Giorgi Shengelia, Executive Director of MDF and Arno De Rug, representative of the Bidding Winner Company – JV of EGIS International (France, Leader), Egis Villes & Transports (France, Member) and Engineering Monitoring Group LLC (Georgia, Sub-Consultant).
Design process is scheduled to be completed in May, 2020. As per the Contract the Consultant shall provide supervision over construction works within 18 months upon detailed design finalization.
