What Should Employers do During this Crisis? - Tamara Klibadze
HR Director of Europebet, Tamara Klibadze shares her tips about what employers should do during the crisis at Marketer's Podcast.
"Employers, first of all, should pay attention to the emotional state of employees. For example, last week we invited a psychologist for an online chat. We took advice, talked to our staff about how to manage time or what impact anxiety has on a person, and helped team members cope with stress in this regard.
Second, in this crisis situation, people lack the most diverse information - we are mostly focused on either work or the virus. We no longer have the social information we used to get throuh communication with each other.
During the quarantine period it turned out that we all eat too much. Because by locking yourself in one space, you can't get the required amount of information. Man needs novelty. So we started entertaining the brain with a variety of foods.
Employees find it difficult to take control of themselves, attend online training or receive other information. We started "online" conversations on chess, and we will have discussions on other sports too. That is, it is necessary to talk about fun topics, even if it is not related to business. It stimulates the human mind and provides a variety of information.
And third, which is also very important in this situation I think - employers should definitely be honest with employees. They need to know what awaits the business, how long the salary will last if the crisis continues? You must provide this information to employees if you want to maintain their loyalty and productivity. ”
