Victor Kipiani's Assesment- Impact of Events in Ukraine on Georgia and the Region

Victor Kipiani, Chairman of the Geocase analytical organization, spoke about the impact of the developments around Ukraine on the region and Georgia.

According to him, Ukraine is one of the largest trade partners for Georgia and the impact, of course, will be both geopolitical and economic.

"When we talk about export and foreign exchange earnings, the loss of the Ukrainian market due to the conditions caused by the force majeure war is essential for our country.

As for the geopolitical side, I have repeatedly said that it is not just a matter of the Ukrainian-Russian Federation, it is a much bigger picture of how it will be sorted, what the new deployment of forces from the West and the Russian Federation will be in the post-Soviet space.

Therefore, answering the tough question regarding Ukraine, naturally, directly concerns our issue and how it will be tomorrow's geopolitical or geoeconomic perspective, "- said Victor Kipiani.
