Vakhtang Tsintsadze: Volume of Exports In December Set a Record
As compared to all other months, December's export volume of 555 million dollars set a record, according to Vakhtang Tsintsadze, deputy minister of economy.
"Certainly, the growth of exports makes a positive contribution to economic growth data, and this is due to the correct economic policy that the Georgian government has been implementing for years and supports the development of local production," said Vakhtang Tsintsadze.
Against the background of double-digit economic growth in Georgia, the turnover of foreign trade in goods reached a record level last year. During one year, the export-import index exceeded 19 billion dollars in total. These data are published by the National Statistics Service. According to preliminary data, both exports and imports have increased.
