Turkey is the Largest Trade Partner of Georgia

Turkey is the largest trade partner of Georgia.

According to the data provided by GeoStat, during the time-frame of January-June 2022, the share of the ten largest trade partner countries in the total foreign trade turnover of Georgia was 68.7%.

The largest trade partners of the country are as follows:

  • Turkey (1,294.0 million US dollars);
  • Russia (962.2 million US dollars);
  • China (922.5 million US dollars);

The foreign trade turnover of goods in Georgia (without undeclared trade) during the timespan of January-June 2022, amounted to $8,477.4 million, which is 35.4% more than the corresponding period of the previous year.

In addition, exports increased by 35.6% and accounted for $2,558.7 million, while imports rose by 35.3% and equated to $5,918.6 million.
