Tbilisi Airport Gains Recognition in the ACI World’s Voice of Customer
Tbilisi International Airport has gained recognition in the ACI World’s Voice of the Customer, which proves that the airport continued to prioritize its customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“In 2021, we kept listening to our passengers, striving to provide an exceptional travel experience. We are proud to announce that Tbilisi International Airport has been recognized with the ACI World “The Voice of the Customer” certificate, which grants airports that continued to prioritize their customers and remained committed to ensuring that their voice was heard during the COVID-19 pandemic”, - the company’s statement reads.
Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport is the main international airport in Georgia, located 17 km southeast of the capital Tbilisi. The airport handled 3.7 million passengers in 2019. Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, the airspace of Georgia was closed for most of 2020 causing the number of travelers through Tbilisi airport to drop with 84% to less than 600,000.
