Solomon Pavliashvili Participates in the 5th Ministerial Conference of the Future Minerals Forum

Deputy Minister of Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Solomon Pavliashvili, participated in the 5th Ministerial Roundtable and Conference of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF), held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Speaking at the ministerial roundtable, Pavliashvili highlighted Georgia’s long-standing experience in mining and the development of the sector.

“A new Subsoil Code has been developed in Georgia, integrating environmental, social, and economic dimensions and providing a transparent, predictable, and investor-friendly regulatory framework. In the near future, consultations with stakeholders will begin to introduce the draft Code. Another important milestone is our interactive geological map, which will soon be available through official platforms. This initiative reflects our commitment to data transparency, strengthening investor confidence, and evidence-based policymaking, while clearly showcasing Georgia’s mineral resource potential,” said the Deputy Minister.

As Pavliashvili noted, Georgia has demonstrated strong economic growth over the past several years, reflecting peace-oriented and pragmatic government policies.

“Georgia is increasingly playing an important role as a regional hub connecting Europe and Asia through key trade, transport, and energy corridors. This strategic position strengthens supply chain resilience and enables Georgia to contribute meaningfully to regional stability, cooperation, and economic integration. Georgia stands ready to be a reliable partner in regional and global efforts aimed at ensuring sustainable, secure, and diversified critical raw materials supply chains. We strongly support transparency, international cooperation, and innovation in the mining sector,” Pavliashvili stated.

At the FMF 2026 Conference, particular attention was given to mineral supply security, investment attraction, enhancement of industry reputation, and related issues.

The conference’s updated communication format included panel sessions, informative dialogues, and solution-oriented working meetings, fostering focused discussion and practical outcomes.
