Sakaeronavigatsia Meeting the Winter Season with New Navigation Systems

Sakaeronavigatsia Ltd of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia is responsible for the implementation and operation of such technologies that assist aircraft in making accurate and safe flights.

According to ICAO procedures, the flight was tested by the Czech company ANS CR Aircraft Laboratory. Flight inspection involves the inspection of a navigational aircraft by a specially equipped aircraft that verifies its operation and compliance with the standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO Annex 10).

The Georgian Civil Aviation Agency recognized the compliance with international standards of new technologies. Therefore, the updated ILS 13R and the extended runway technology have been officially put into operation.

“We are even more prepared for the winter navigation season. Both projects are an important tool for safe flights. The Aircraft Landing System (ILS) is a "guide" to the aircraft and ensures the safe and accurate landing of the aircraft in automatic mode, and the Tbilisi Airport runway has not yet been equipped with a 13R course approach lamp. Both projects allow us to ensure safe operation of flying an aircraft during difficult weather conditions, including low visibility, "said Gocha Mezvrishvili, CEO of Sakaeronavigation Ltd.
