“Revenue from Hazelnut Exports Increased by 71% Compared to the Same Period Last Year” – Ministry

From August 1, 2025 to January 13, 2026, Georgia exported 11.7 thousand tons of hazelnuts, with a total value of USD 117.4 million, according to information released by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.

According to the Ministry, compared to the same period of the previous year, the volume of exported hazelnuts increased by 171.4 tons, while export revenue rose by USD 48.8 million, representing a 71% increase.

The Ministry also reported that the average export price per kilogram of hazelnuts reached USD 10.06, which is 69% higher than during the same period last year.

The main export destination for Georgian hazelnuts remains Italy, with 3.7 thousand tons exported. This is followed by Spain (1.3 thousand tons), Germany (786.3 tons), and France (617.6 tons). In addition, Georgian hazelnuts are actively exported to Syria, Armenia, Greece, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Poland.
