Retail Spaces to be Arranged Near the New Khashuri Highway

The 13-km bypass section of Khashuri will be opened on the East-West Expressway (E60) in the second half of August. The Khashuri bypass road starts at the last section of Agara-Zemo Osiauri and joins the existing road at the new junction in Surami.

The construction of the Rikoti Pass section is also in an active process. New sections of the East-West highway will pass so-called "Hammock Market" and similar shops in Surami, Shrosha and Zestaponi.

In order for the residents of the surrounding villages to be able to sell their products, special, safe shopping areas with well-maintained infrastructure will be arranged for them along the relevant sections of the road as part of the new highway construction project. The new retail spaces will enable the locals to further develop their business in terms of security and other necessary standards.
