Pegasus Airlines to Perform Istanbul-Batumi Flights
Starting September 2019 Pegasus Airlines will perform Istanbul-Batumi flights.
TAV Georgia, operator of Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports, told AviaNews that Pegasus Airlines will launch flights from Istanbul to Batumi in several weeks, in early September.
The airline has not applied to Civil Aviation Agency yet for the mentioned flights, however, according to preliminary information, the airline will perform 4 frequencies a week from Istanbul Airport.
It is noteworthy that so far Pegasus Airlines has not fulfilled flights to Batumi. The airline performs flights from Istanbul to Tbilisi. In 2018 the company performed Istanbul-Kutaisi flights too, but the direction was cancelled because of low demand.
At this stage, Istanbul-Batumi flights are performed by Turkish Airlines.
