Over 20 Airlines Express Readiness to Resume Flights to Georgia Gradually
The list of airlines that will resume operations in Georgia will be announced soon. As the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava stated today, about 20 airlines have already expressed their desire to resume flights.
"Soon we will have not only the confirmation of the airlines, but also the specific dates of the flights. I would also like to reiterate that as of today, more than 20 airlines that have operated regular flights to Georgia have confirmed their readiness to resume flights as soon as possible, including Wizz Air, Ryanair, Turkish Airlines, Israir Airlines, Qatar Airways. Technical details and standards, which will become mandatory for airports, air carriers and every business operating in the tourism sector, have been discussed. At the same time, concrete decisions have been made to become mandatory for tourism destinations classified as so called Green Zones. They will be presented next week to the private sector.
