Ongoing Projects in Kvemo Kartli Discussed at Meeting in Rustavi

At a meeting held in Rustavi, ongoing projects in the Kvemo Kartli region were discussed.

Ilia Lekiashvili, Head of the Kvemo Kartli Regional Service of Georgian Amelioration Ltd., provided participants with detailed information regarding the new irrigation tariff established by the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC).

“The process of signing contracts with water users is being carried out transparently and in stages. Particular attention is given to ensuring that the population is informed in a timely and comprehensive manner. Properly scheduled agreements for amelioration services with water users ensure stable irrigation water supply, efficient system operation, and the sustainable development of infrastructure, ultimately serving the interests of each farmer and the region as a whole,” said Ilia Lekiashvili.

It was also noted during the meeting that the efficient functioning of irrigation infrastructure is directly linked to increased agricultural productivity, stable development of the agricultural sector, and the overall economic strengthening of the region.

The working meeting was attended by the State Representative, mayors of municipalities, village representatives, and members of the local population.
