Money Transfers to Georgia Constituted 138 million USD in March

Money transfers to Georgia in March 2019 made up 138.4 million USD (371.4 million GEL), up 4.5% (+5.9 million USD), as compared to the same period of 2018.

According to the official indicators of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), Russia ranks first in terms of money transfers to Georgia with 35 million USD. Italy ranks second with 19 million USD. Greece is third with 16 million USD, the USA ranks fourth with 15 million USD and Israel is sixth with 13 million USD.

As to money transfers from Georgia abroad, the figure in the reporting period made up 18.5 million USD (49.7 million GEL), down 2.5 million USD compared to March 2018.
