KTW Invests $ 315,000 in Solar Power Plant at Patardzeuli Factory

The company "Kakhetian Traditional Winery" (KTW) has invested $ 315,000 in the Patardzeuli factory and built a 448 kW solar panel station.

The project was launched by Helios Energy Georgia in the summer of 2021 and was completed in January this year. Speaking to BM.GE, Zurab Chkhaidze, the founder and CEO of KTW Group, said that equipping the Patardzeuli brand and chacha processing plant with a helium system was carried out in two stages in accordance with the pandemic and existing regulations, with a total investment of $ 315,000.

"A 448 kW power plant has been installed in the Patardzeuli plant, which will replace about 70% of the plant's annual electricity consumption. The money saved from the use of solar energy will be spent on the production process itself and it will be possible to reinvest it. The reduced tax will be a benefit for the company, which will have a direct impact on the cost of production, ”said Zurab Chkhaidze.

According to the founder of the KTW Group, the company has already installed two solar power plants in the hotels under its management and plans to use green energy in the future in connection with other projects.

"All the opportunities that help reduce costs are good for business. I think the KTW Group has made an important decision by installing a 448 kW power plant in one of the company's major enterprises. In addition to the Patardzeuli business, the KTW Group's Akhasheni Wine Resort & Spa in Kakheti and the renovated Orbeliani Residence Hotel in Tbilisi are supplied with solar energy. We have goals in this direction in the future and we plan to implement a similar project in another of our enterprises, Manavi, ”said the founder and CEO of KTW Group.
