Infrastructure Ministry to Implement Surami Development Plan

“We have decided to launch and implement Surami Development Plan”, Minister of Infrastructure Maia Tskitishvili noted after the government meeting.

At today’s government meeting the infrastructure Ministry has put forward the mentioned issue as a priority direction. The Ministry will announce tender for the Surami development plan preparation and the document will be introduced in about a year, Maia Tskitishvili said.

„As part of space arrangement project, the Ministry is implementing space arrangement plans for locations that are important and interesting in terms of tourism perspectives. This project also calls for adding new functions to these locations and restoring the existing functions. This is an essential component for making these locations as valuable international-standard resorts.

Moreover, under the development plans, the Ministry of Infrastructure has been implementing those infrastructural projects that are necessary for making this or that settlement as a resort through donor assistance or state budget funding. Today we have decided to launch Surami development plan and implement it and consequently, we will jointly work on Surami development plan too”, Tskitishvili said.
