Infrastructure Minister Talks about Importance of Seaports at Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi

“We have been making investments in logistics infrastructure all over Georgia, including in modernization of Black Sea ports, their expansion and construction of deepwater seaport in Anaklia”, Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia Maia Tskitishvili noted at the Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi.

This infrastructure will allow Georgia to improve services for Silk Road needs, Tskitishvili said.

“We talk about interdependence and this process does not imply only physical infrastructure. Interdependence implies open and more liberal economy, tighter cooperation between countries. Thanks to free trade agreements, we have business friendly relations, tolerant economy and culture with various countries. We are able to expand our contribution to openness, tighter integration. We are able to remove all barriers that may exist in the country”, Maia Tskitishvili said.
