High-speed Trains to Operate on Baku-Tbilisi-Baku Route

Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route will be operated by French high-speed train. According to Azerbaijani media, the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku passenger transport will be carried by Prima M4 passenger train for the first time.

According to them, the carriers, which are manufactured in the 70's, will be used for freight transportation.

The French company Alstom develops a modern, European-style high-speed train at 160 km / h.

It should be noted that the cooperation agreement between the Azerbaijani Railways (CJSC) and the French company Alstom Transport S.A. was signed on May 12, 2014. According to the document, Azerbaijan has to buy 50 locomotives from Alstom from the French company.
