GNERC Chairman Professor Davit Narmania Honored with Prestigious University Award

Professor Davit Narmania, Chairman of the National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission of Georgia (GNERC), has been honored with an honorary diploma by the Academic Council of the Georgian Technical University (GTU) for his extensive and impactful contributions to academia.

The award ceremony, which coincided with the celebration of the Faculty of Engineering Economics, Media Technologies, and Social Sciences at GTU, also recognized the achievements of several other distinguished university members.

Throughout his illustrious career, Professor Narmania has garnered multiple accolades for his dedication to education and the nurturing of future generations. His roles have been varied and significant, serving not only as a guest lecturer at the Georgian Technical University but also as a professor and head of the Department of Management and Administration at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. His leadership extended to his tenure as the Executive Director of the Caucasus Economic and Social Research Institute between 2008 and 2012, as well as contributing to the academic communities of the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) and the Georgian American University (GAU).

With a professional background in economics and holding an academic doctorate in the field, Professor Narmania is a prolific contributor to the academic world. He has authored 42 scientific papers and co-authored an additional 48, continuing to engage in research and share his knowledge to this day. This latest accolade serves as a testament to his enduring commitment to academia and his significant impact on the educational landscape in Georgia.
