Giorgi Pangani Met with Representatives of the French Development Agency

Giorgi Pangani, commissioner of the Georgian National Energy and Water supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) held a meeting with the representatives of the French Development Agency (AFD). The parties discussed issues of future cooperation.

Giorgi Pangani introduced the current reform in the energy sector to the representatives of the agency. In addition, Commissioner provided them with information about GNERC’s role in the development of green energy, regulations of the existing and future models of the wholesale electricity market.

As part of future cooperation, the parties agreed to provide technical support to GNERC by the Agency for strengthen implementation of reforms related to regulation in the energy sector.
