Georgia’s Exports Rose by 0.5% in September

According to early report by Geostat, the national statistics service of Georgia, in September 2019 Georgia’s exports rose by 0.5% compared to September 2018 (up 1.4 million USD), while the imports growth constituted 4% (up 30 million USD).

In September 2019, Georgia’s exports constituted 303 million USD and imports marked 749 million USD. Negative trade balance in September made up 446 million USD, up 28 million USD compared to the September negative balance.

In January-September 2019, exports rose by 11% and imports declined by 3.3%. Trade turnover has increased by 0.5%. The January-September negative trade balance is 3 749 million USD, down from 4 251 million USD of the January-September 2018. The final report for the month of September will be published on October 21.
