Georgian Pavilion Opens at the International “Green Week” Exhibition in Berlin
With the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and organized by the Rural Development Agency, fifteen Georgian companies presented their agri-food products to visitors at the International Green Week exhibition in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany.
The Georgian pavilion featured products from the following companies: Terra Kisi, Hobi, Akto, Achnibuli, Britsa, Sanwine, Tiemti, Teliani Valley, CheltI, Toreli, Meister Brew, Georgian Natural Product, Alpha Group, Art Wine, and Milmart. Exhibited products included wine, spirits, organic juices, honey, spices, and preserved fruit and vegetable products. Visitors to the Georgian stand also had the opportunity to taste traditional Georgian dishes.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Giorgi Avaliani, Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency, and Alexander Kartozia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Federal Republic of Germany.
“The Rural Development Agency plans to organize pavilions at 11 international exhibitions in 10 countries this year, providing Georgian companies with the opportunity to present their agri-food products to hundreds of thousands of consumers. International exhibitions offer a unique opportunity for Georgian agri-food companies to establish new business connections and to strengthen Georgia’s image as a producer of high-quality agricultural products,” said Giorgi Avaliani.
International Green Week is one of the largest exhibitions worldwide, covering the agriculture, food, and horticulture sectors.
The exhibition also features participation from the Georgian National Tourism Administration, which is presenting Georgia’s tourism products and destinations to visitors.
The international exhibition opened on January 16 and will run until January 25. This year, more than 1,600 local and international companies from over 50 countries are participating.
