Georgian Citizens Spent 93 Million GEL on Shopping Abroad in 3 Months

In the first quarter of 2019, Georgian citizens spent 359.4 million GEL on trips abroad, out of which 26% or 93 million was meant for shopping.

118, 5 million Georgian Lari was spent on food, 73, 8 million on accommodation, 28.2 million on entertainment, cultural and sports events, 17.4 million GEL on local transport and 28.2 million – on other expenses.

On average 741 GEL was spent during one visit.

In the reporting period, 367,300 citizens of Georgia traveled abroad, of which 269,800 was for tourism purposes.
