Georgia-Turkey Economic Commission to Hold First Meeting after 2005

Minister of Economy of Georgia Natia Turnava will visit Turkey after the official visit that she paid several weeks ago to this country, when the Parties agreed to hold the first Georgia-Turkey Economic Commission meeting after a 14-year break.

As part of her visit, the Minister will also hold bilateral meeting with the Trade Minister of Turkey. Natia Turnava will also deliver her speech at Georgia-Turkey mixed economic commission meeting. She, as the commission co-chairperson will sign the meeting minutes, which is to determine priority issues of bilateral economic relations, including in the fields of trade, investments, transport and logistics.

The Georgia-Turkey Economic Cooperation Format was suspended in 2005. The commission was restored on October 31 as part of the Georgian Prime Minister’s visit to Turkey.
