Georgia to Receive $107 Million in Exports to EU in Last Two Months
In the months of January and February in 2021, $107 million worth of goods were exported from Georgia, which is $1.4 million less than in 2020.
Overall, EU holds the 21,7% of Georgia's exports. According to the Geostat, Georgia's largest exports to the EU are copper ores and concentrates, which reach $50.4 million, although almost half of these goods are re-exports. The second-largest export in the EU is nuts. In January-February, 1.6 thousand tons of nuts worth $10 million were exported from Georgia to the EU.
Rating of Georgia's largest export goods to the EU (goods whose exports exceed $ 1 million):
- copper ores and concentrates - $50.4 million, 25,1 thousand tons;
- Nuts and walnuts - $10.2 million, 1.6 thousand tons;
- Fertilizers Mineral or Chemical, Nitrogen - $4.9 million, 29.0 thousand tons;
- Ethyl, non-denatured, less than% of alcohol concentration, alcoholic beverages - $ 3.2 million; 1.0 thousand tons;
- Grape natural wines - $3.2 million, 1.0 thousand tons;
- Mineral and freshwaters - $3.0 million, 4.6 thousand tons;
- Wood material, and other - $2.9 million, 1,1 thousand tons;
- Leftovers and scrap of precious metals or precious metal cladding - $2.8 million;
- Cars - $1.6 million;
- Ferroalloys - $1.3 million, 1.5 thousand tons;
- Mixed goods - $1.3 million;
- Fruits and other parts of plants, otherwise made or preserved - $1.3 million; 0.2 thousand tons;
- Rubber pneumatic springs and tires - $1.3 million; 0.3 thousand tons;
- Fruit and vegetable juices - $1.1 million, 1.0 thousand tons.
