Georgia Submits an Official Application for EU Membership Tomorrow

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the Georgian Dream party, the Georgian government, is already preparing an application for EU candidate status.

According to him, the application will be submitted to the EU structures on behalf of the Georgian government tomorrow.

"Georgian Dream's political team made a decision based on consultations with members of the party's political council and, first and foremost, with the Prime Minister to submit an application for EU candidate status immediately, taking into account the general political context and the new reality.

The Georgian government, led by the Prime Minister, is already preparing an application for EU candidate status, which will be officially presented on behalf of the Georgian government to the EU structures tomorrow," Kobakhidze said during a special briefing.
