Georgia-Japan Trade Turnover Increased to $322 Million

In 2022, the trade turnover between Georgia and Japan was $322.1 million, a 56.6% increase from 2021.

Imports accounted for the majority of trade and increased by 64.5%, driven by a 68.5% increase in passenger car imports. Exports, which made up only 4.6% of trade, earned $15 million, a 20.8% decrease from 2021.

The top exported goods were raw aluminum, waste and scrap of precious metals, and natural grape wines, while the top imports were passenger cars, new and used rubber tires, and trucks.
