Georgia Imports $680.3 Million Worth of Medicines in 2025
In 2025, Georgia imported packaged medicines worth $680.3 million, with a total volume of 15,744.1 tonnes, according to data published on the foreign trade portal of GeoStat.
For comparison, in 2024 the country imported medicines valued at $621.5 million, totaling 16,130.2 tonnes.
Data shows that Turkey remained Georgia’s largest supplier of medicines in 2025. Imports from Turkey amounted to $171.95 million and 5,565.1 tonnes. In the previous year, Georgia imported $170.09 million worth of medicines from Turkey, with a volume of 4,784.8 tonnes.
Germany ranked second among supplier countries. In 2025, Georgia imported $81.99 million worth of medicines from Germany, totaling 674 tonnes. In 2024, imports from Germany stood at $69.0 million and 812 tonnes.
The third-largest supplier was Hungary. In 2025, Hungary supplied Georgia with 429 tonnes of medicines valued at $59.55 million. A year earlier, imports from Hungary amounted to $49.66 million and 472.5 tonnes.
