Georgia Exported Hazelnuts Worth $19.3 Million in February
The value of hazelnut exports from Georgia continues to grow. In February, Georgia exported 1.7 thousand tons of hazelnuts worth $19.3 million, according to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
According to the Ministry, compared to the same period last year, the volume of exported hazelnuts increased by 33% (407.4 tons), while the value rose 2.2 times, or by $10.4 million.
The European Union remains the main export market for Georgian hazelnuts, including countries such as Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and Greece. From August 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026, a total of 9.9 thousand tons of hazelnuts were exported to EU markets.
In addition, 944 tons of hazelnuts were exported to Syria, 511 tons to Armenia, and 473 tons to Russia.
