Georgia and US Airlines Negotiate over Direct Flights between them

Georgia starts negotiations with the USA to launch direct flights. The Economy Minister has traveled to the United States to hold talks with two leading US airlines.

Natia Turnava will meet with representatives of the world's largest airlines - Delta Air Lines and United Airlines and will introduce Georgia to them.

Natia Turnava's planned visit to the United States linked to the launch of direct flights was announced in August this year. As the Minister said, a detailed study conducted by the Ministry of Economy confirmed that direct flights from Georgia to the United States were attractive.

Natia Turnava estimates that on the one hand, launching direct flights will be a very clear, unambiguously positive political move from a strategic partnership with the US, while on the other - commercially attractive for companies.

The Embassy of Georgia to the United States participated in organizing the visit together with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
