Georgia and Kazakhstan Strengthen Agricultural Cooperation at Astana Summit

During the regional environmental summit held in Astana, Davit Songulashvili met with Aidarbek Saparov, Minister of Agriculture of the Kazakhstan.

“Bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan has expanded significantly in recent years. We consider it important to continue high-level dialogue, and I am confident that our partnership will deepen further. Trade relations between our countries are showing a growing dynamic. It is particularly important to encourage Kazakh investments in sectors such as logistics, energy, tourism, and agriculture. We are ready for effective cooperation that will support mutually beneficial projects and further strengthen relations between our countries,” said Davit Songulashvili.

The discussion also covered issues related to climate change mitigation, increasing exports of Georgian agri-food products, and the importance of sharing experience in areas such as livestock farming, poultry production, and the introduction of modern technologies in farming.

The parties reviewed opportunities to expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing Georgia’s strategic geographic location as an important factor in international trade.
