Georgia and Guatemala Discuss Agricultural and Environmental Cooperation
Davit Songulashvili met with members of a delegation from the Guatemala. The delegation was led by Monica Renata Bolaños Pérez.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in climate-smart agriculture, forest restoration, protected area management, and livestock development. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of sharing experience between the two countries.
Davit Songulashvili highlighted Georgia’s favorable business environment and investment opportunities, and provided the delegation with information on Georgian products with export potential.
According to Monica Renata Bolaños Pérez, despite the geographical distance between Georgia and Guatemala, there are significant opportunities for effective cooperation and the implementation of mutually beneficial projects.
The meeting was also attended by Michelle Bran Alvarado de Ovalle, Deputy Director General of Bilateral Relations at Guatemala’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Eduardo Enrique Hernández Recinos; Honorary Consul of Guatemala in Georgia Giorgi Choladze; Irma Kilasonia from the Americas Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; and senior officials from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
