Foreign Investors Show Interest in Mimino Airport Telavi
A foreign investor has expressed interest to launch international flights from Mimino airport, Sergo Tepnadze, principal of Aviation University told BM.Ge

Verbal agreement has been already achieved, but the final contract will be signed in a week, when foreign investors will arrive in Georgia, Tepnadze said.
The Government has also engaged in negotiations with investors, Sergo Tepnadze said.
The investor will introduce international standards into the airport, including the runway will be extended and renewed. Several tens of millions of GEL will be spent on the airport modernization.
Further details are not divulged at this stage.
Moreover, the Government may subsidize domestic flights from Mimino airport, Giorgi Chogovadze, head of the Georgian Airports Association, noted.
