Exports of Georgian Medications Grow by 56%

Exports markets demonstrate a growing demand for Georgian medications.

According to Geostat, the national statistics service of Georgia, in January-March 2021, the country exported medications of $19 million to foreign markets, up 56.3% year on year.

As for January-March 2020, Georgia exported medications of $12.2 million to export markets. The ratio of medications in total exports constituted 2.3%, while the figure was 1.65 in the first quarter of 2020. Medications rank ninth in Georgia’s top 10 export items.
