Export of Nectarines and Peaches from Georgia Increased by 67%

This year, the peach and nectarine harvest has been successful in Georgia - the process is in the active phase and exports are 67% higher than last year.

As of 2 August, 16,273 tons of peaches and nectarines have been exported from Georgia, which is 6,521 tons more than during the same period last year.

Twenty-two refrigerated warehouses are operating at full capacity to ensure the unhindered storage and sale of the crop.

In order to facilitate exports, the necessary documentation is being prepared and issued in accordance with the one window principle.

A working group has been set up in the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture that is actively working to connect farmers and peach sellers.
